Meet Our Student Leaders
Aroshi Ghosh (she/her)
Founder and CEO |
Aroshi Ghosh is a freshman at MIT (Class of '26). She is an AI4ALL alum (UC Berkeley chapter) and is passionate about identifying technological solutions to solve real-world issues. She was awarded the SEAP internship at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA and her current research involves analyzing satelite data to find anomalies in ship behaviors. She has also been frequently invited as a speaker to tech conferences to present her research. Aroshi strongly believes in being an advocate for the community and is the founder of the AI Spectra outreach program that helps young women explore careers and applications in Artificial Intelligence at the cross-section of the arts and humanities. She is also an avid blogger and writes for her online magazine Student Spectator about tech, politics, arts, race, and their impact on Gen Z. In the past she has participated in high school clubs as the Captain of FTC 8404 Quixilver Robotics and as a varsity speaker on the Leland Speech and Debate Team. She plans to pursue a double major in Course 6-3 (Computer Science and Engineering) and Course 15 (Business) in college.

Anahita Kashani Gregg is currently a senior at Leland High School in San Jose, California. They have experience in programming and is learning more code everyday. They are also on the Leland robotics team, which qualified to the World Championships this past year. Anahita is passionate about giving back to our community and exposing children to all elements of STEM. In their spare time, Anahita enjoys practicing calligraphy, reading, and listening to music. They also participate in other extra-curricular activities including piano and the Leland Speech and Debate team, where they compete in Duo Interpretation and Policy Debate. Anahita competed in the state and national qualifiers this year. |

Sahana Gopalan (she/her)

Sahana Gopalan is currently a junior at Leland High School in San Jose, California. She has intermediate experience in programming and coding in Java and Python. She is currently learning how to use Computer-Aided Design. She has been doing robotics with FIRST for 6 years and is currently an active member of the Leland Robotics FTC Team 8404 Quixilver where she is learning several different programing languages such as SQL, HTML, and CSS to take over the Quixilver 8404's P.A.L.S. Sahana is passionate graphic designing, reading about diseases, and music! She has learnt the art of singing for over 7 years and is a frequent performer and competitor in the Bay Area. She is also currently part of the award-winning Leland Yearbook staff and helps with marketing and photography. In her spare time, Sahana loves to sing, bake, and travel the world. She also participates in other extra-curricular activities such singing, playing the violin, robotics, and volunteering in non-profit organizations. By joining the AI Spectra team, Sahana is excited to expand her knowledge in AI and share it with others! |
Aneri Shah is a sophmore at Leland High School, San Jose. She is a strong advocate of female’s empowerment in STEM, and she hopes to help students find their passion for STEM and apply it to the real world. She has been an active member of the FIRST program for 5 years and is currently a part of the Leland Robotics FTC Team 8404 Quixilver., where she is the youngest member and the only middle schooler. She is the owner and developer of the Android application, “Get, Set, Focus!” Aneri was the winner of a Scratch Programming Club at the age of 9 and explored the world of programming through Python and Java since then. Outside of STEM, she has been part of the Middle School Speech and Debate program for 3 years, along with the school tennis team. She is equally passionate about her dance and is a youth emerging performer for a professional dance company in the Bay Area. In her free time, Aneri enjoys reading, baking, and traveling. As a member of the AI Spectra team, she is eager to expand her knowledge in AI and share it with others in the community. |

Together Aroshi, Anahita, Sahana, and Aneri work to introduce young women to Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. Their goal is to motivate the next generation of girls to think outside the box and learn about careers at the cross-section of the sciences and humanities.
