Goal 1:Vertical Divider
|
What? Introduce real-world applications of emerging technologies to tackle the most pressing issues in this world like climate change, sustainable living, equality, inclusion, education, food, health, safety, shelter, water, and social justice so that were relevant to the participants’ lives, their interests, and their communities. These technologies include Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality, Robotics, Virtual Reality, 3D printing, and Drones. Learning modules span across disciplines like art, environment, music, language, and fashion.
How? Deliver a hands-on interactive curriculum through virtual bootcamps. Instead of lectures, the bootcamps are based on interactive activities, games, and discussions to keep students engaged with each other and work as a team in a supportive atmosphere. |
Goal 2:Vertical Divider
|
What? Encourage greater participation of young women and non-binary students from underserved communities to promote a humanistic model of technology based on diversity and inclusion.
How? Our focus is to make the participants be open-minded and excited about computing. We teach the required coding skills during the bootcamp. NO PREVIOUS CODING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Coding skills can easily be mastered through online resources like Khan Academy or Codecademy, once a student develops an interest and recognizes that self-learning is achievable. |
Goal 3:Vertical Divider
