What are Kaggle Competitions?
In partnership with the Student Machine Learning Coalition (SMLC), AI Spectra is working to empower young girls by helping them organize competition chapters at their local high schools to participate in online Kaggle competitions. SMLC is one of the nation's first competitive machine learning organization led by high school students to compete in Kaggle competitions. Kaggle's competition site is a platform for anyone (from novices to PhD's and industry professionals) to develop their skills on real world data and gain credibility for jobs. As of now, it is still very hard for high school students to gain access to the resources they need to team up and compete in these competitions. Our mission is to change that.

Meet the SMLC Team
Michael Lutz, President
My name is Michael, and I am the president of the Student Machine Learning Coalition. I'm fascinated by machine learning concepts and research as well as ML's intersection with advocacy and even philosophy. As a senior at Bellarmine College Preparatory, I also enjoy Speech and Debate competitions and hanging out with friends. |
